Logic Pro: Live Loops Relooped

It’s easy to think of Live Loops as a kind of Ableton-lite and it’s certainly easy to think they’re only of value to dance music producers. In this video, I’m going to take a first step into re-imagining what Live Loops could be. Yes, we’re going to use sounds readily associated with EDM, but we’ll use those to experiment with loops of unusual and contrasting lengths, to begin to see what happens when our loops restart at less regular intervals. We’ll discover how to add loops to individual cells, adjust lengths and add time-based effects, before beginning to experiment with how we can make loops a little less predictable.

Superb content - I have never used the Live Loops at all but will now . In a couple of my recent releases I have used 12 bar loops for the percussion only to add variety . Thank you JB - EXCELLENT

Interesting rhythms, you could find some cool nuggets using this technique. Thanks Jono. Quick q... does the time signature (4/4) make any difference with live loops, haven't used them before (in my head they are for the youngen's, but maybe they are worth a play)

Great stuff. Have to admit Ive ignored the whole loop section of Logic. When you talk about swapping the looped audio for drum kit designer, is there a way you can take that loop and essentially convert it to a midi pattern?

Hi Jono, I was trying to follow along on my Logic which is V10.7.9 but my screen isn't the same. I don't see "Trigger" and all start, stop, etc. below it. Guess I'll just watch the rest.
