We were living for quite a while on around $900. a mo. Now that Ne reopened her Canteen which was locked down because the Casino was. Now we are at around $1400. a mo. Plus, R food bill dropped a lot because she brings a good deal of it from work. We R at Camilla Northpoint here in Davao. The rent is 10K + 2.7 condo fee, we pay the rent & electric which is in the owner's name to his rep. who had the internet 50/50 @ 1.7 K installed.

if you get higher elevation and don't need AC. 200 rent ( gets you a nice condo), 100 utilities, 200 food... and wham.

Say my plane gets into Cebu at 11:00 PM. How does one get into their AirBnB at that time of night? Get a hotel for one night and move in the next day?

Good budget. The first decision someone should make is what they plan to be doing. The time and expense of traveling places can add up just like those coffees at Starbucks. Do you want access to a park? big gym? big mall? airport? nightlife? If you have not lived in SE Asia you do not realize how long it takes in traffic and how difficult it can be just walking on roads....

Another great video Gio. As for tv service, do you get a lot of American channels?

Gio, Thanks for the valuable information regarding your budget. It really helps your viewers who are seriously coming over to stay a few months. I think the 10K forecast on one of your other videos is a good number to start with. As you mentioned it goes faster than one thinks.. Thanks again...

Would you look at buying a condo? Rent vs buying, which is better? I am considering Davao just trying to a condo near the mall

Starbucks every day? That does take a big chunk of your savings. It's hard to believe the price for a cup of coffee is pretty much the same as in the States and it seems like their always busy. But once your used to drinking Starbucks, everything else tastes like piss water.

When you select 30 days, the price come up. Any hidden fees? Deposits required?

Great video! I realize you typically rent with everything included, but could you please give me an idea of how much it would cost for electricity, internet, cable, and cell phone? The cell phone plan would be for local and international calls back to the USA. Thanks for your time and again great video.

Geo: I noticed on the AirBnB filters there was a selection of "Pvt Bathroom" which you did not select - why ? You cell phone cost is $6.USD - is that for unlimited voice calls, text, and data ( internet) ? Thank you.
