Gender reveal parties were actually created by a woman that kept having miscarriages before she made it to the point of finding out the gender of her child, around 14-16 weeks. When she finally didn’t have a miscarriage and got to find out the gender, she threw a party. It’s more of a milestone thing. The rest of the world turned it into a crazy thing.

And yes, the above is an actual form of sexual abuse. He was literally every kind of abusive in the "how to recognize abuse" pamphlet, there is. He never hit me unprompted (as in I actually jumped on him first, although it wasn't in a violent way, I can see how it could be misconstrued as such) but he did go to jail a few years after I left him, for beating his new girlfriend. So although he wasn't physically abusive toward me for the most part, he was physically abusive.

I was pretty proud when my brother decided to step up when he got a girl pregnant in their late teen years. He put effort into getting full custody when we found out that the mother was doing drugs and the baby would keep coming back from visits with her hurt. A lot of guys would not even try and ghost the moment they hear about it.
