Whether you're loading up for the trip or you're just loading up to go to a work site, it's always a different type of load whenever you're going wherever you may be going. So right now I'm bringing a couple of generators and some coolers and a water jug, but tomorrow I might be carrying something different. This is where these straps come in. These are really quick and easy. These are the Ericsson cam buckle straps. So these are going to be about eight foot long, perfect for a truck bed or the cargo carrier.
And it is going to be about two inches wide. Has a working load limit of 733 pounds and a break strength of 2200 pounds. So what I do with the Curtis S hooks, when I'm tying stuff down on the cargo carrier, I just like to go through the safety chain loops. Just like that. And then this way, it's going to kind of stabilize my carrier.
And then if for some reason, something happens with the carrier, it comes a little loose, the straps are going to tie that down too. That's always a little added comfort for me whenever I'm traveling with a bunch of nice stuff on my carrier. So with these hooks, they fit around the rails. Not a lot of them do, these do which is awesome. And then this is just super simple.
Just go ahead and pull this, pull it nice and tight, just like that. And this isn't really going to go anywhere. So everything on the carrier is secured and it's basically one with the carrier. So as you can see, everything moves and it's nice and good to go. We only have about two feet of excess.
So this is a pretty good sized strap. I've seen you guys going down the road with a kayak in the bed of your truck. So if you don't want to have a kayak carrier that we sell at etrailer, these straps are going to work really well for the truck bed. I like putting it in at an angle when I'm only carrying one, because it's not going to overhang on the back. So what I'm gonna do, these work really well for the tie-down points in the truck bed. And then I like to loop it around this little handle, It's pretty strong. And then at that angle, it's going to kind of keep the kayak from coming out this way. So it keeps the pressure into that corner, which is good. Then like this. And then we can go ahead and tighten this up. So this way I have this strap holding it in, obviously it's hardly moving, but then the strap over there, I just ran it over top, so that controls this movement. This is going to keep it up and into the corner. These straps can be used pretty much anywhere. On a trailer it'll be good enough to go from one side to the other. On a side-by-side they would work. So whether you're just upgrading your straps from little ratty ones like this, or you just need some for your new kayak or whatever you got. These are going to be a great way to get it done very quickly and have a decent amount of capacity to be able to get some of those little bit larger loads nice and tied down safely. Again, these we're the Erickson cam buckle tie-down straps, and I'm Adam with etrailer..
