Samsung TV Plus is another app in the growing free, ad-supported streaming service space. While not new, the Samsung TV Plus app is expanding what it offers and if you have a Samsung TV, it could be a good fit for you.

It offers hundreds of free channels of local and national news, free TV shows and movies, and even some sporting events.

The service won’t replace everything for you. But if you want to reduce your streaming budget it’s a legitimate option to supplement some content.

I just discontinued my AT&T cable because Samsung TV plus is all I need

Omg! You guys are unbelievable! All the questions I had, you answered them so clearly. I love how y’all spoke at the right speed and to the point! I cut the cord with AT&T today! But that was after I bought 3 new TVs. And switched my internet service to T Mobile. I also bought 2 of those cheap inside antennas for 2 of the TVs. They are working great!! But after setting up my new Samsung tv, all those icons had me a little nervous. I didn’t want to get charged for watching something that I had to pay for. I don’t plan to download any apps, to watch any shows. And I was afraid of the Plus channels. Y’all have been SO helpful to this old lady. The only entertainment my husband and I have is tv. He is bed bound, and I’m his only caregiver. So my time away from the house is to do necessary errands, and can’t be gone long. There’s a lot I know how to do, but these new TVs are new territory for me. So sorry to rattle on. Just wanted you to know how helpful you’ve been!! And I can’t thank you enough!! I stumbled onto it this week. Have a Samsung TV so when i set up my Smart stuff, it kind of popped up as an option. I was SHOCKED. yea it has a bunch of stuff i probably won't use. But there's alot of legit channels. I'm stoked because I'm getting ready to cut the cord (Dish). Coupled with an antenna for my locals, STVP is really nice. Still surprised its free. Thanks

Didn't even know I had it until my phone just asked to update it. That's my reason for searching for it. It's really nice to have on my phone if I'm flying or traveling with no entertainment options. Glad to know it's there. Have Roku on my TV and I'm happy with it too.

My favorite, free, ad-supported streaming service is regular YouTube. It's my go-to site for finding old, music videos. And, of course, I love your channel. I'm too cheap to pay for the ad-free experience.

As for me, I like this streaming app, most probably because it is the first thing I saw when I set up my Samsung TV. There is a lot of room to install other apps on my TV. I have all my other streaming apps installed there, including YTTV. I'm especially looking forward to using Samsung Plus TV when I install my new TV antenna in a few days. :)

It’s great because I tried to get my elderly mother to use Pluto TV but she just couldn’t get the hang of it yet it’s basically the same as Samsung TV Plus and that she understands how to use. 😂

Honestly I wouldn't mind if Samsung tv Plus would offer a pay tv service like youtubetv slingtv... because i like how its integrated into regular over the air antenna channels. If they had a low cost pay tv plan and didnt include local channels you could just add the over the air antenna channels into the favorites.

Ive noticed on apps built in to tvs the lag is really bad such as with a vizio tv did u get that from samsung?.

Thanks for the information. I went out to their website to see if any remote chance the App would play on my PC laptop, but reading the Specs, it looks like only Samsung devices or Android. I don't want to watch this service on my small Android phone, so I didn't go any further or try anything.

Samsung TV Plus would be great if it were available on other TVs besides Samsungs. I usually watch Tubi TV and some other free streaming services.

How come the LIVE movies are all edited and blured on the Hub channels? But On Demand they are not edited.
