Hello RDM fam! In this video I'll be testing some hot new makeup releases like Patrick Ta's major skin foundation, Vieve Ninetease eyeshadow palette and lipstick and Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk face palette. In addition, I'm chatting about something very personal- how I've been feeling about aging, and the struggles I'm going through. I know a lot of my viewers are going through the same things, so I want you to know you're not alone! Since there will always be negative Nancy's on social media, I am fully aware that getting older is a blessing, and not everyone has the privilege of doing so. I am human though, and it's not wrong or bad to have these feelings. We should not be comparing who is struggling more, or suffering more, or judging people who are having feelings you may not think they should have. Let's show each other kindness and grace!

I'm 71 and still keep up with makeup. Channels like yours make us remember to keep up appearances. It's good for the soul.
As the saying goes, aging is not for the faint of heart.

Risa, you're a beautiful YOUNG woman, inside and out! I'm 72 and enjoy watching you and several other beauty YouTubers who are 25 or more years younger than me. When I turned 40 I cried, not because I was 40 but because of how fast time went from 20-40. I knew 40-60 would go even faster!! 😳 And it did!! Aging isn't for sissies! And it's definitely better than the alternative! I was in excellent health until I reached 70. Bam! Every test's results seem to become another test needing to be ordered. Ugh! I'm faithful about routine tests and annual physicals. I do skin care every morning and night and I continue to take care of how my makeup looks, transitioning into changes in what I use and how I apply it as I age. Even though I sometimes feel that I look 80, many people, friends and strangers alike, have said I don't look my age. It's the miracle of modern makeup. 😉😊 Try drinking organic Tart Cherry Juice for sleep. I swear it works for me. It's an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant as well.

Risa the older we get the faster the years go by, just take one day at a time. I'm 76 and I love to keep up with all the new cosmetics. I really enjoy your channel!

Yes, aging sucks, I am 51 and have a lot of the symptoms you mentioned, hrt has helped enormously with some things but still have the vision/hair/hooded eyes age related stuff. You always look amazing Risa. One thing about aging is you give less and less of a on what people say or think, so def one bonus lol....

Wow. I’m turning 48 and experiencing EVERYTHING you mentioned in this video. The struggle of getting older and witnessing your body change is real and disheartening at times. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I’m 57. Aging is definitely an process of adjustment that is so much more than grays and wrinkles! Turning 50 for me was like a light switch had been flipped. My time tested beauty/self care routine had to be recalibrated. It’s like my skin was someone else’s skin and I couldn’t deal with that change very easily. Getting hormone medication really helped the transition. And telling myself I AM good enough, over and over. And I am not ready to embrace being gray yet, and I applaud those you have embraced it. But I am not there yet, lol. I LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS RISA. You will find your way through this.

I turn 47 at the end of this year and it’s been rough seeing and feeling the process of getting older. Two years ago I went into surgical menopause and holy cow the effects of that has been mind blowing. I feel like 10 years of aging happened in a year and a half. The changes in my skin, the overall feeling of tiredness, the hot flashes!!! wee-doggy!!! I feel you and totally understand that feeling of falling apart and how heartbreaking it can feel!!! But we are strong and we are vibrant and we are beautiful….all of us. So we all stand together in this aging circle and lift each other up!!!!

You’re just going through the most difficult stage of aging. Believe me, it does get better and easier to accept these changes the more you get into your 50s and to be happy with the gifts that you already have.

Risa I am 60 and the one thing I can tell you is this... I finally had a heart to heart with MYSELF and decided to care about myself. When others put us down, remember the source and know that something is missing in them to feel the need to try to hurt others. You are a wonderful person and life happens to us all so enjoy the ride and find your smile!

Risa, this video REALLY resonates with me. I just turned 55, oh that's hard to say and think about, my 50's have really been a hard pill to swallow. My brain still thinks I'm very young and my body begs to differ...the changes have been rapid! Yes, brain fog, sleeplessness etc
I see my kids so grown and how fast this time went by, it's saddens me, mainly because of how fast these years have gone by.
You're GORGEOUS and haters are everywhere. Much love

I am now 60 and I hear you on symptoms of aging. Totally sucks and I remember feeling similar emotions when I turned 50. Keep moving forward and in time, you’ll feel better about things. I certainly did. Remember that you are doing what you love and that the vast majority of people adore you and love tuning into your channel. Don’t let the turkeys get you down. You are beautiful inside and out! ❤😊

Not going to lie I had tears welling up in my eyes the entire video. I turned 48 this year & have been feeling the same as you too. I’ve never related so much to a video, thank you so much for sharing your feelings….. I don’t feel so alone 🥺

I am so grateful for this video! "Falling apart" is the perfect word for how I have felt since turning 49, I will be 50 in December. First, I had to start taking high blood pressure medication. My blood pressure was never high before turning 49! I got attacked and assaulted by one of my psych patients, I am an R.N. on a very acute psychiatric unit. Then my liver enzymes were extremely elevated and the doctors can't figure out why. I don't drink at all so it isn't alcohol related. Anxiety, depression, insomnia, eye sight deterioration, thinning hair, puffy eyes. Before I hit 47 I use to have people telling me how much younger than my age I looked. That all stopped at 47. Now I get called ma'am everywhere I go. I put on 40 pounds in a 4 month period! Despite these things I will do everything I can to improve and challenge myself. I will remain curious about life and question and search for new ideas. I have also adopted the philosophy that it matters not one bit what others think or say about me. This is my life, and I will live it as such while staying a kind, nurturing human. It is good to know I am not alone.

Ain’t gonna lie, this video did make me feel a little down, but I love to watch your videos. I’m 41 and can feel the aging myself, but I try to count every year as another blessing because so many don’t even get a chance to hit my age. Embrace it as best you can. You are wise and beautiful. Also, you don’t ever have to go gray if you don’t want to 😉

I'm in my early 50's and can totally relate. You have taught me so much over the past two years, and as a result, I get more compliments now than I ever have because I know how to apply my makeup. I found you because I wanted to learn more about mature makeup applications as I wanted to feel better about myself and didn't love seeing myself on Zoom during COVID. You are beautiful and inspiring and I appreciate how honest you are. Keep being you!
