My father and I went to see this movie and we really thought it was a produced very well and was a very powerful and captivating movie.. Was greatful it was lowkey on the violence..One does not need one Gorey, blood and guts scene filled with extreme violence after another seeing everyone personally slaughtered .. too many of our movies these days put forth too much graphic violence.. It is not good for your mind and soul... Havingour imaginations led that direction to imagine the outcome was good enough .. I do appreciated that in this movie.. We were moved by so many of the experiences... There can be such a beautiful, great side to many Africans... Many times there was a great spirit of faith and you could see where God protected and guided them and helped them through their harrowing experiences... I think that it puts forth many great messages.. #1 it is sad when many groups that mankind may see or think as bad can also have many people of goodness in them.. but then they are taught hatred and to kill or desire death to all when many innocent and goodly people and people who do not desire  hatred or fighting or killing or feel negatively or go along with the feelings of the radicals.. and it is so sad when this happens. (So thankful I have our Jesus that teaches differently) The greatest message I think was how hatred can begat hatred and how destroying this attitude can be deteriorating and destructive to your soul..

luved the music also..There is so much African music out there that I luv..  I luv it also when we attended the temple in London and we met up with African saints attending.. to see and feel the Beautiful spirit of the African saints was very precious.. several of my good friends I have right now were from Africa.. Just love their wonderful spirits..

This director is clearly promotes Christianity in his movies, in 'Freetown' and 'The Saratov Approach'  the characters are christian missionaries,  his linked-in profile shows he's funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which in Utah

This was well done, I hope to see more movies about these kinds of stories and miracles. They're told with the great elements that make a great story!
