Terrible situation on both sides, the man may have been paranoid and in a non wellminded state and that led to a Tragic loss of life, the scammer is the real criminal here - 2 lives destroyed and many families grieving. Not the first and tragically not the last incident the way our society is going.

You forgot to mention he shot her 3 times before calling 911, she then passed away due to her injuries.

He shot her in the foot, she backed up and shouted for help and said "please don't" and he then shoots her in the shoulder and once again fatally, and is screaming for help while bleeding out as he calls 911. He executed her. He's definitely in the wrong.

He took away her means of calling for help, before shooting her multiple times as she was trying to leave. She clearly wasn’t a threat yet he killed her.

Just did some research on this case... this leaves out a LOT of details. The old man held her at gunpoint (a little old lady with a limp btw) and when she tried to get into her car in fear of her life he decided to shoot her. This is MURDER. It does not matter if you think that she was a scammer, you call the cops and if you really feel some vigilante sense for justice, you force her on the ground while the cops come. Again, it's a small old lady that can barely walk straight and is begging for her life. This old man deserves to spend the short time he has left behind bars. Also would be willing to bet if she was white he wouldn't have shot.
