My J2Ti just came in and I had a few hours to play with it yesterday, absolutely loving it. The Flare & Fat Boy are in my bag as backup wide body paddles

I bet the Neonic Flow Swift will be on this list once it releases. Neonic makes killer paddles at an awesome price

I got a lighter static weight Prostar and there’s no way its swingweight is above 120. It’s super surprisingly maneuverable for elongated, although adding slyce cap or weight in handle might help bring down the balance point and raise maneuverability. I also think probably bc of foam infused cells, it sort of took a bit for it to be worked in and it maybe developed a little more spring and pocketing and power as a result over time. Awesome paddle!

I like the look of the Shogun when I first saw it. I was looking for more review of the Prostar and almost tempted with the foam filled core. Then the J2Ti came out. Although the price range for all are not very far off, I am not ready to replace my J2K pro.

Great video. The B&B Shogun is my friend's main paddle now.

I bought the Pro Star more for the foam in the cells and not so much for the PET. Was hoping for a "softer" "plush" feel on impact.

Great review. My J2TI is arriving Tuesday. Main now is Monarch JB 16mm. Looking forward to trying the hybrid shape with a bit more pop/power. Hoping I can control it like my JB 16mm. Go Lions!!!

The Shogun is by far my favorite paddle, It is absolutely perfect for my play style, I focus on footwork and if you do too then I think this could be the paddle for you, only requirement is committing to it for so long that you know what you want from it, then and only then add weight depending on what it is you need it to do. more power? Put a strip of tungsten weighted tape on the top, too heavy? Cut the strip in half and place it closer to whatever side it would benefit you. I personally added weight to the base of the handle going up and stopping as soon as a reached the text. I also put some on my handle and wrapped it with a udrippin grip, I also put a strip near the top, some in the middle ish, those additions were weighted closer to one side and I cut the strip into different sizes to best fit my needs. At this point it just does everything I need it to do, so much so that I can just focus on footwork, all u gotta do for that is pair the footwork of your person with the position the upper body would have to be in to receive the ball, and then in that position you gotta perfectly visualize the court and the ball angles speed and spin and after you accomplish that you start doing your practice swings with the paddle keeping in mind what positions your paddle can be in the make a shot from that angle over the net and wherever on the other side you desire. It's a lot easier said then done but when you only have time to get on the court once a week, usually, it does the job. A ball machine would elevate this type of practice

Compare my other 6.0 paddles, the shogun played much better at my 4.0 level. Thx for the review.

The shogun and nexus both have wide handles. I wonder if this is to combat low twist weight.

How's the Heavyweight paddle by Dynasty? I see it hanging in the background.

Do you find adding that much weight tape up the side of the widebodies starts to become a bit of a maneuverability hindrance? I really don’t like to play paddles with the 8-9 TW I find they just become too wide feeling.
