Michael McAfee is a self-taught traditional visual artist and digital animator. He brings forth astonishing creations inspired by retro-futurism and pop surrealism. Michael embarked on a journey through university, initially aiming to pursue a career as a cinematographer. However, you decided to leave in the midst of your second year because the film set environment didn't resonate with you.

Throughout his artistic journey, animation has held a special place in your heart. Michael describes his creative world as a vast universe he calls Polymorphic. His artistic process often begins with the creatures that inhabit this universe, and it's an iterative journey. There are no predefined sketches or notions of how these creatures should appear; instead, he tends to amalgamate forms and anatomical elements from real-life animals into your designs. Deep-sea creatures, in particular, serve as a wellspring of inspiration. Each 3D creation is shaped by his musings on how these beings would exist in their imagined natural habitats. Michael ponders their movements, sensory adaptations for comprehending their surroundings, and whether they traverse these realms alone or in groups.
