People's Republic of China's Qinwen Zheng beat Croatia’s Donna Vekic in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) in the women's tennis singles final to win the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She became the first Chinese tennis player to win a medal in the singles event.
