SCP-082 - Fernand the Cannibal

Dr Bob brings you SCP Foundation EUCLID Class object, SCP-082 - Fernand the Cannibal Animation.

SCP-082 is genetically human; however, through some process (either chemical, hormonal, cancerous, or supernatural), SCP 082 has grown to giant proportions.
SCP082 refers to itself as Fernand and speaks fluent French and heavily accented English. When it speaks, it does so through enormous, clenched teeth. SCP-082 only parts teeth to eat food and to sing.
SCP-082 is capable of attacking and voraciously eating others. Subject will often apologize for its lack of manners for interrupting someone's conversation by devouring their head while making a mess of his quarters. SCP-082's jaw is strong enough to crack bone, and it seems to enjoy skulls. Attacks are seemingly at random with no motivation—whether or not subject has recently eaten has no effect on this cannibalistic hunger.

Seems there is a trend of SCP channels closing down. I'd like to thank you all for sticking with me, it's meant the world and you truly are amazing fans. I am in absolutely LOVE with the historical take on Fernand. Who knew that Jack the Ripper actually met his end with an SCP... and if Fernand ever actually knew it was Jack and he told the story... who would believe him? 🤔

It's only just occurred to me that he's a combination of Tarrare and Andre The Giant. Both historical figures were French. Tarrare was real and suffered from a disorder which meant he was constantly hungry, which led to him eating a variety of repugnant things (like human corpses) and he was suspected of consuming an infant in the hospital he was sectioned at.

As a French myself I have a theory, I think only French comrades can understand this but I am certain that Fernand is actually Gérard Depardieu !

I really enjoyed the way you established the setting in this one. The "these streets feel haunted on even the quietest night" line, the details about the fog making it hard to tell if you're even alone. So good. Please keep using SCP as a way to make short stories like this, I love them

I think it was a matter of there simply being too many SCP channels in the first place. Burnout or a desire to diversify.
