Hong Kong airport resumed operation, a day after a mass protest by pro-democracy activists. The protest, staged inside the terminal, brought the air-transport hub to a standstill. It caused chaos for travellers and played havoc with global airlines' flight schedules. The airport suspended flight operations for at least 12 hours on Monday evening. The protest caused cancellation of more than 150 flights. This was a dramatic escalation of anti-govt protests that roiled the Asian financial hub. Demonstrators have been demanding resignation of the city’s leader, Carrie Lam and an independent investigation into the handling of the protests. Authorities have called the citywide demonstrations illegal and dangerous. Beijing said that the agitators are stirring violence, encouraged by 'interfering' foreign powers.

I find it amazing how they organize protests like this in a country that strictly controls and filters all forms of internet communication.

I can't imagine what it would be like to travel in Hong Kong at this time but that first lady... It's not been very funny. Like no duh lady they aren't protesting for the hell out of it. You get to leave, even if it takes longer than you expected and it's not how you planned to do it, those people don't.

When Britain colonized Hong Kong, Hong Kong people did not even have the freedom to demonstrate. If there is no Chinese government, they still want to express their power under the eyes of the British.?The British will not give them this opportunity.
