This trap surprisingly works for lower elo players and I had one game against an 1100 who moved their knight insanely fast without thinking. It works but this isn't an opening trap you want to play all the time

I typically do a Steinitz attack or a Cochrane gambit against a petrov. Also, a four knights game is better for newer players to learn, plenty of solid traps.
