The funny thing is this is a chemistry-style fix that would not typically work for chemistry (potential adulterant). That being said my HS chemistry teacher taught me the one true way to make sure it doesn't dribble...commit to the pour

You can also speed pour it, if it never has the opportunity to start sticking, it never will

Also in pottery; ceramic teapots are greatly designed to prevent dripping, the last drop of water would just go back directly to the teapot instead of sliding on the side

If you don't want to get the outside of your cup all oily, you can also pour it along the back of a spoon and use the spoon to direct the flow. The water adheres to the spoon instead of the side of the vessel, and then has nowhere to go but right off the end

I was half expecting Hank mentioning something about sphincters in this one.

Thanks Hank. I work in a restaurant and tomorrow I'm gonna find something we use to pour (badly) and work out a demonstration for my boss, I think it'll blow her mind.

Just taught my 10 year old the other day "COMMIT TO THE POUR, SON!" 😜 You just have to go for it and have confidence. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Me and my friends are like butter and water. We can never get together

When I worked at a coffee shop the way we solved this problem was a lot scarier. You just had to pour faster. Essentially, if you don't tip it gently, you aren't giving the water time to adhere to the glass. My manager would always say "pour with purpose" which is absolutely terrifying as a 17 year old dealing with scalding hot coffee...

you can also get glasses that are designed differently
the top lip is curl is curled inwards of sorts that allows the water to easily flow out instead of dribble down the side.

you can't notice it while drinking.

*MIND BLOWN!* Ok so this is actually really useful info to me. I make cowboy coffee in a saucepan and always have trouble pouring it into the filter because of the sticky flow of water. This will help so much!

Topologists can’t distinguish a coffee mug from a donut, but chemists have a natural inclination to assume that tardigrades are a subspecies of polar bear.

Wow it’s all come full circle one of the first vids I saw of you was some lab safety tips or something in or before high school where I learned to “commit to the pour” and now I’ve got my degree and I’m there’s a new technique
