i would pick a 2015 macbook pro over any windows laptop js because of how good the screen is. however the only thing i wish apple would fix is the screen durability 😭 my m1 air already has indents/ dead pixels and im VERY careful with it

I just started using one of these (the base model), the speakers and the screen are great. I love the keyboard as well.

Regarding Windows laptops, my Dell XPS 9300 has an amazing display. It’s not cheap at all. I will say that MCaBooks are very premium, but there are some rally good laptops out there.

The problem with the 2017 pro is the butterfly keyboards. They are prone to fail.

I was just happy I did not upgrade my mid 2015 15" model to anything after. I specced out a 2015 model to the max back in the day and my wife bought a 2017 2 years later and the damn device really sucked for her and mostly was on our dining table. The keyboard broke down twice and the screen also went blank 2 times. The keyboard travel really succked imo if you are used to the 2015 model. I upgraded my 2015 for a M2 2 months ago and the only thing I hate about the M2 is the big trackpad I just want my old 2015 back haha. I also run a great windows laptop nowadays wich is also made out of metal and has a good keyboard but still I use it more for gaming than anything else.

You are also paying for a computer that you can't fix or upgrade which is a huge bummer. Im in a love/hate relationship with my M2 MBA lol
