DJI Phantom Vision Plus Problem

After taking taking my DJI Phantom Vision Plus out of the box, and charging the batteries, I connected it to my phone. My phone is linked to the camera, but I can't use my phone as a live view finder. I can tilt the camera, take pictures & video, even preview them on my phone, but no FPV (First Person View). Has anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas how to fix this?

Have you fix your problem?

Try to bind your camera & re-install the DJI Vision App in your iPhone.
After that, ... in the DJI Vision setting, use preview setting in 15 fps.

It is starting to look like a transmitter problem to me.  After my wife read that someone got their video feed to temporarily work after placing the drone in a freezer, I opened up my drone and put ice in a baggie on top of the transmitter (the large silver box that gets hot) which is right beside the orange flight controller box for 20 minutes before turning everything on in my living room.  It actually worked for the first time in a month of trying everything imaginable.  Unfortunately, it did not continue working after warming up. I have a new transmitter ($189) coming which I plan to modify by adding small heat sinks on the top.  There is very little room between the transmitter and the GPS module mounted on the underside of the top shell, but enough for some low height heat sinks.  My video feed never had any problems on the previous 20+ flights and my last successful video feed was on a fairly hot day here in Texas.  I figure something got damaged in the transmitter by heat, but I will never be able to figure out which component on the circuit boards is the damaged piece of hardware (I already looked at the 2 boards inside the transmitter) so I am replacing the entire transmitter.  I'll try to come back for results when I get it solved.

Same thing last week end. Every thing worked fine at home. But at the field, to fly the Phantom the camera would not work. I tried dasleben and Simons suggestions at the same time and now the camera is working OK fine. Thanks for the help GP.

Hey, I had exactly the same problem after I upgraded the firmware to 3.04.
Then i reinstalled everything, turned off the phone entirely, then on, and it started to work again. 
Previously, with the older firmwares I never had any FPV video stream problem.
Today I upgraded to v3.06 firmware, which supposed to fix it, and the video stream is gone again.
It was a very reliable drone before. Never had any FPV video stream issues before.
I suspect it's a software problem, especially because the camera can take photos and videos.

My video freezes constantly! Just displays a frozen black and white image but I still retain all flight data and camera control but cannot see live video feed. I contacted support and they told me to set the display resolution to the lowest quality, this helped slightly because it never worked before but now it just sporadically freezes sometimes I'll get 5 minutes sometimes I'll get 5 seconds...so frustrating! If anyone knows of a fix please let me know

i have p2v+, it worked for a month with no issues.  now wifi drps out after a minute.  Crash when vid drops out(no fpv)  after new camera and gimbal.  cannot bind with ipad   even after app re install and in airplane mode w wifi.
gs4 can bind but then drops out after it says successful binding, extender reboots and it has not bound.  i have re installed app on both devices and turned everything off but dji app.   is there any firmware upgrades for extender?

Got the same thing going on since out of the box new. Just did the stage 3 upgrade and worked for 1 flight and now have nothing. No signal to phantom even with wifi connected. Just ordered a new wifi transmitter. I will let you know if this does the fix. Aloha,

I have some problem on my too after crash, i had to replace the ribbon cable when i turn it on everything works fine  but no image at all exactly like yours, please let me know if you found the solution  for this problem, thanks

I have the exactly same problem with mine. sometimes i get 1 minute with picture and sometime its just black. And how many times i even try to get it to work i can't figure out how to solve this problem. It makes me angry when i set upp everything to have a good time and go flying and everything ends with going home in a bad mood. I hate this kind of problems when i buy something that i don't have to assemble.

Mick, since last saturday I have the same problem. My Phantom was flying perfectly and send the images to the iPhone with out a goth and then out of the blue I got Telemetry, could take pictures but no video.

Hey guys, as someone mention earlier. If you switch your phone to flymode and recheck your wifi connection. Turn all on again. Then you will get the live cam back online again. after that you can turn off your flymode. Everything will still working as well. Try this ok for all of you who have this problem.

I used the bind function in the software you have to bind by scanning the QR codes on both the Drone and onthe wifi extender.

Seems loads of people including myself having this problem. The only way I get it going is switching to airplane mode on phone and just using WiFi. Then go through standard startup but doing a calibration first before going into camera on app. After doing this a couple of times camera live view seems to come back on. Its like it needs to warm up first! Anyway why should I have to buy a new WiFi module. Bloody dji know this is happening and is affecting so many people. Hope your up and running by now anyway.
