Weird because when I first heard this song I thought he was writing about his relationship with his father but instead it's more of a work of fiction still a good song but it loses some of its appeal to me because it's a personal song about some of the trauma he dealt with in his life. Because that was always the appeal of the song to me I thought it came from a real place
