I'm excited about the new Phoenix 26.5" monitor. The viewing angle is a big deal. With modern technology (IPS display) needed to happen. The biggest concern about a wide screen monitor is you have to give up a lot of screen size since the wide monitor is limited to the internal width of the cabinet. Good example is a genuine Gauntlet Legends cabinet. The width is 25" wide. originally using a 27" monitor. The Unico 26.5" monitor would be a good replacement when the old CRT monitor can no longer be fixed. If we had to use a wide screen monitor we could only use a 27" wide screen with pillar bars on each side reducing it to a 19" monitor. The Phoenix monitor solves this problem. Thank you Unico for providing this Phoenix 26.5" Phoenix. I've already pre-ordered mine.

With the 2007fp becoming harder to find at a lower cost, I bought a 20.1” Wide CL20LUX (medical monitor) for cheap on eBay for my modded tmnt. I think it was around $35 shipped.
It looks amazing.
Medical monitors usually have pretty good specs, so if that’s where they’re going it should be a solid replacement for when a CRT goes out and can’t be repaired.

Good step! Next they need to move the speakers so it's not coming out to my crotch. Oh and reworking the button layout would be great too. Why are there 2 nonfunctional buttons anyway?
