Hello friends,
welcome to the vicky notes tutorial.
this dbms tutorial will help you to learn the concept of dbms from basic.

.About this video Lecture:-
in this video lecture discuss (Dbms vs. Rdbms vs. Fps) for Gate,UGC-NET,PSU's,B.tech,BCA,MCA and other competitive exams.

.Dbms vs. Rdbms vs. Fps:-
DBMS vs RDBMS vs FPS is quite an interesting clash to cater the differences between all of these as they all are kind of data storage techniques with each one having their own properties and features.

.Dbms:-
Controls database redundancy: It can control data redundancy because it stores all the data in one single database file and that recorded data is placed in the database.
Data sharing: In DBMS, the authorized users of an organization can share the data among multiple users.
Easily Maintenance: It can be easily maintainable due to the centralized nature of the database system.
Reduce time: It reduces development time and maintenance need.
Backup: It provides backup and recovery subsystems which create automatic backup of data from hardware and software failures and restores the data if required.
multiple user interface: It provides different types of user interfaces like graphical user interfaces, application program interfaces

Rdbms:-
1. Avoid Data Redundancy: Data Redundancy is common in DBMS. However, RDBMS utilizes keys and indexes in the table to avoid any data redundancies.
2. Suitable for Wider Range of Apps: Since RDBMS can process the complex and large amount of data, it is suitable for wider range of Apps as compared to DBMS.
3. Use of Common Columns: You can relate two table with use of two common columns in RDBMS, which is not possible in DBMS.
4. Normalization of Tables: You can normalize tables in RDBMS system so that they follow a proper structure of rows and columns. Same is not possible in DBMS.
5. Foreign Keys: DBMS doesn’t use any foreign keys. However. RDBMS use foreign keys.

FPS:-
A file processing system is a collection of programs that store and manage files in computer hard-disk. On the other hand, A database management system is collection of programs that enables to create and maintain a database. File processing system has more data redundancy, less data redundancy in dbms.
