For the coils, it depends on your budget mostly. If you have the cash, Fortune Auto coilovers are some of the best you can get, but they're a bit pricey - starting around $1, 600. Bilsteins are cheaper, also great quality, but fewer features.

Spacers if fitted and installed properly are perfectly safe. I prefer hub centric like you installed. I've had my spacers on my Jeep for 5 years with zero problems.

Spacers are a prime example of something you should get cheap. A 400 dollar cobb set and a 100 dollar amazon set are literally the exact same. Coilovers on the other hand? Yeah definitely don't cheap out there

Spacers work fine. Don't listen to anybody. I have MANY tracks days and dragon runs on spacers with extended bolts never have I ever had an issue.

Nothing wrong with hub centric slip on spacers and extended lugs.

Whoever said get the right setup is a gimp, because hubcentric spacers with the right lug nuts is literally part of the setup. Unless the wheels you like have the right offset.

Just got ecs coils on my e36 m3 and they ride really well, honestly ride quality is pretty comparable to my h&r coils on my e46. Handling is great on the ecs and they're stupid cheap for the quality. It would be great to see someone give them more attention!

Forget the quality spacers, it's the quality coilovers you should worry about

Spacers are cool but gotta remember that your bearings will take a beating faster. :(

If someone doesn’t like it ignore them it’s your car

I think the reason why you rub people the way (no pun intended) is because you said that the spacers will increase your handling, which in your case it just might because your tires are rubbing and it's also a safety hazard. But in most cases spacers are just for looks and not for performance. Shopping for a better wheel that fits is the better option but not if your on a budget.

I'm a big fan of the E36 wheels. I respect that you are keeping them. A little AMMO NYC Plum and some Iron Decon will clean those up nice.

I must be the luckiest man in the world; my MaxSpeedingRods only cost $250 from eBay, allowed me to lower the car a touch (not so much in front) and the handling is much improved. 1998 Honda Prelude. Garage Built Hondas did a 6 month update on the quality of the coils. Worth the money IMO

Those spacers are much better than the ones that bolts on to the factory studs/lug studs
