Tom did all his own stunts. Great horsemanship and wonderful stunts. To think he made his living as a singer. He goes back and takes rides with his fans I think it is once a year. Love these movies.

One of my favorite scenes in any movie is when he gets that big black stud going and the ROOSTER_TAIL of turf coming off of those feet! Along with the fact he just lets that stud deal with that guy (which in some places could be called assault with a deadly weapon)!!

Sorry, but when the first dude stopped to pull his rifle, but Jim had already planned ahead and wielded the stirrup... all I could hear was “I have a Donk!” Then dude gets smacked!!

I think the first one was better thsn the sequel. Brian Denehy as the father, not the same as Kirk Douglas's energy or acting skills. I cried when Jim's Brumby was shot in the chest on the downhill ride

First movie a Wonderful simple genius of a movie. The second was terrible. From no Kirk Douglas to a lousy plot and horrible hairstyles. Where's Jim in this scene? Looks like some version of Dr. Who.

Both good movies to bad douglas didn't do the 2nd one and to bad spur didn't get to be alive and rich but good movies
