Wanna know a cool little detail? MetalGreymon’s Face Mask doesn’t turn into the one on WarGreymon’s face, it actually splits into two and becomes the Brave Shield. It’s quick, but you can see it by going frame by frame just as it appears.

It’s hinted at when the Crest of Courage appears on top of it.

It also explains why the Crest of Friendship wasn’t on WereGarurumon’s body during his sequence because it’s nowhere on MetalGarurumon’s armour.
It’s a really subtle attention to detail!
