I think with the shady oaks bit, maybe a short story with them going back to shady oaks and there is one resident that has dementia, and they have to bring her back and just do some heart warming things to get to know her and her past while getting her to return back to the cafe facility would of been nice

I know of Monster's Inc. 2. They eventually learn that the old lady they see was actually Boo, now an old lady. Time passes differently between the human world and Monster World, so what would have been a few months ended up being several years in the human world. Boo would be happy to see "Kitty" one last time before passing away.

My guess as to why they would be Lost in Scaradise is that anywhere a child moves, their new bedroom door become the new door back to Monsters INC.

Monsters inc 2 was originally gonna be made by Disney,
And toy story 2 was originally so bad they called the original director to help, it took them months to remake the entirety of toy story 2

Fun fact: monsters inc 2 had a plot twist where the human world ages more quickly than the monster world and the old woman we saw in the storyboard was actually boo but an old woman and was on her way to death
