Here's reason 5, 682 of why I admire this candidate: Pete refused to let the interviewer push him into attacking a fellow candidate. He knows (like all of the candidates should) that once one of them wins the nomination, everybody will need to throw their support his or her way. Hopefully, it'll be Pete, but if it's not, badmouthing one of the candidates in 2019 but then singing their praises in mid 2020 is two-faced, and that's something Pete will never be. He is sincere, authentic, consistent, and trustworthy. Does he have criticisms of his fellow candidates? I'm sure he does, but he shows them respect and keeps the big picture needs of the country in the forefront of his motivations, not his ego, so he contrasts his ideas with their ideas. He's not a pushover or a bully; he doesn't give the good sound byte or yell for attention. He just has really good ideas and is very confidence inspiring. I look forward to seeing his performance in an actual debate once there's only a few candidates left and the debates can actually follow a format that makes sense.

It's beyond me why Mayor Pete is not higher in poles like somewhere between Sanders and Warren. This guy is spot on all the things that concern us Americans. He may very well hold the answers to a better country instead of having to go through Obama 2.0 with Biden and the suspicious undertones of Socialism as underscored by Sanders and Warren.

All things aside, this guy is the best person to be POTUS at this time. He won't win but this guy is one of the smartest, most clear headed, thoughtful candidates I've ever seen. He has incredible presence.

This man continues to impress me. He expresses ideas that are progressive but not polarizing. I, too, admire what a classy candidate he is. He is absolutely right when he says you don’t need to tear down your opponents if your ideas are solid.

Someone else on here mentioned he is playing the long game. Absolutely right. Warren and Sanders are cannibalizing one another; Biden, a man whom I respect tremendously (he, too, is a classy person) is wonderful but his ideas are outdated.

I hope Mayor Pete is our nominee.
