Boss GT-001 guitar effects and Audio Interface

Today we get our pre christmas mittens on a Boss GT-001. This guy is essentially the brains of a Boss Gt100 multi effects pedal but in the form of a desk top buddy. We look at a couple of the pre-packed tones and see how well the midi conversion is when using synths in your DAW (digital, audio, workstation) in this case Logic and Omnisphere.

I read that in the expression pedal input I have to put a specific pedal, but at the entrance of the guitar or naida can I connect any other type of expression pedal or other effects?

LAD! Ive never heard of you before searching on the product but have dived into the channel a lot. I have the GT-001 for home playing and have a basic bass sound, im wondering what leg room there is for bass. I would like to try and get some really good bass tones from this and i know its possible. What do you think?

I just bought a roland ua22, but wouldn't it be smarter to get this thing because you can also use it as a interface right? but with a lot more effects and sounds.

Will the unit take a balanced line mono input via the XLR socket?
I want to run a keboard via a DI Box through it and use its effects.

Hello Paul and guys, does anybody happen to have a downloadable version of the gt-001 driver? I received my device today, my computer sees it but the driver does not install because it is not there anymore (or anywhere else). Unbelievable, since they are still selling it, at least in my country. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I bought a Boss GT-001 I have been working through the patches and have found an issue with one. I did upgrade to version 1.04 as soon as I received the unit.
The patch in question is P183: Humanizer SP.  In the display for FX1 the vowel 2 knob keeps turning creating a blippy noise as the vowels keep changing, it sounds as you would expect it to if someone was continuously turning the knob but I'm sure this isn't correct. It shows the same on Boss Tone Studio. If you switch the unit off, Tone Studio displays a static knob so I am assuming it is the unit itself that is generating this issue. Any ideas on a fix? Cheers

Paul I have problems with audio clipping using the Boss GT-001 on my MacBook Pro. I use Logic Pro 10.0.2. Any tips on how to set my levels in Logic and patch levels on the GT-001?

Hi awesome video, so I understand the concepts of how it works with the computer, but can it be simply plugged into an amp and a guitar and still be used? Like is it a normal pedal as well as all the cool stuff? This may be a stupid question I'm just not technologically efficient with pedals and the like, thank you!

Just a quick question. I want to run this through my laptop as an audio interface and then link my active speakers to it. Can I play a track on lets say youtube and jam along to it whilst getting all my tones from the TONE CENTRAL please?

Also even thought this doesn't have an expression pedal. Can you still add a WAH into the mix and set it at a certain value please?

Hi, can you plug it in an amp throught loop pedal and still control the effects through laptop? By the way is it compatible with windows?
