Not only is the California power grid threatened with shutting down by extreme heat conditions, but downtown Sacramento reached a new record of 115 degrees as well.

If you can’t run your AC, that’s a failure of government. The people should not be held accountable for their governor’s incompetence

116 degrees and you expect people not to use AC? You better prepare your hospitals then.

Brilliant California. Stop selling gas cars by 2035 but can't keep the electric cars on the road now fully charged without rolling brown-outs.

Yep better get those electric vehicles before there is no electric to power them .

you know, running a clothes dryer is probably slower than just hanging the clothes out in this weather.

I wonder if Governor $14.5M Vineyard and his cronies are taking any steps to use less electricity or water

“Electric cars only” is going to be a disaster for the power grid

Now let’s add another 10-20 million EV’s to the power grid and let’s see what happens.

Maybe CA should build a few more windmills...

What? But they were told not to charge their cars. Weird.

And the Democrats keep pushing Electric Cars. What a waste of gray matter.

This blind rush to "green" power will kill people

These things don’t happen in Florida. Or Arizona or Nevada. Or Saudi Arabia. But in 3rd world California.

Newsom: Please don't charge your electric cars to conserve electricity....

I wish I could send cooler temps and rain to California.

Why turn my power off? I don’t run ac less than 77, don’t charge a car or even run a pool. & I also don’t run washers past 3... turn off the homes of the power guzzlers. Leave the rest of us alone.

Its not heat caused, its bad democrat policies

And the CA eliminated future dependence on any other ENERGY?! - except electricity!! The worst will come in winter with no gas, no burning, no heat. Pure genius!

Good thing people have electric vehicles there

I live in Phoenix, and it really doesn't much matter what the temperature is once it is above 107F.
That is when you have to drink insane amounts of water (gallons)and limit your outdoor work to a level your health can tolerate. I've spent many days welding in 115+F temps, and just like the welder I use I have a duty cycle. 10 minutes on 30 minutes cooldown in AC.
