Using the grading tools in Civil 3D 2018 to make a small pond out of berms.

hello, question how do you get all this icons(feature line, parcels, grading, aligments etc.) I have a problem my computer doesn't show it even when I click the Home tab do you have any idea? I will appreciate it very much.

I have heard the word 'Grading' so many time and still don't know what it is. What is Grading please and what is it used ? why do we need to do it?

how come I dont have to option "Grade to Distance" in my toolbar I have only the "Standard" option.
