Dubai skyscraper scary paragliding launches

Too extreme for me - I thought my ground handling was ok but haven't done much cobra and didn't feel like this was the best place to practice - so I watched instead! I think it's harder to trust someone else than trust yourself so I found it quite stressful - but no incidents!

love the position of the wind sock. Almost straight up. I don't think that rope on the launch assistant would work @2.40.

Watching the guy assisting with the launches, so close to the edge with a makeshift rope around his waist. made me feel a bit squeamish.

Anyone notice how the wind socks is pointing up. The building is just like a cliff, so it’s sketchy but not too sketchy from a cliff launch. Brilliant video 👍

No one has mentioned the size of the kahoonas on the mad-snake helping the cobra launches on the edge of the building with no harness!! .... oh sorry, there was a rope with a granny knot around his waist sometimes. Ugh!

Looks like good conditions! Was it possible to soar only the skyscraper or were there thermals elsewhere?
