In Anafi, Greece🇬🇷|| Adventure with Hubby 👨‍❤️‍👨|| Episode 2

We used Aegean line to travel from Frankfurt Airport to Santorini Airport. We landed in Athens at 23:00 hr and couldn’t proceed with our connecting flight from Athens to Santorini. Aegean booked for us a wonderful luxury hotel called Diwali hotel to sleep for the remaining 4 hours as we wait for our connecting flight.

We landed in Santorini 8am and proceeded direct to the port. It took us 1hr 30mins to arrive in Anafi with the boat. The island of Anafi is one of the most authentic Cycladic islands that one can visit! Anafi remains untouched by mass tourism, preserving its traditional charm!

We spent the 10 days at a room to rent called Artemis rooms. It was equipped with all the amenities and with a beautiful balcony overlooking the port and the peak Kalamos. Kalamos is a huge rock that sits on the southeastern side of Anafi island. Kalamos rock, which is also known as the "Scariest rock in Europe", is the second biggest monolith in Europe after Gibraltar. Being 460 m. high, Kalamos is arguably the most impressive natural attraction in Anafi and also a popular climbing spot. On the top of the rock stands Panagia Kalamiotissa church, a beautiful whitewashed chapel, built in 1715. This chapel offers a marvelous view to the island and it is the perfect spot for sunset gazing.
