This month I will be receiving a few orders I made for Dahlia tubers, I am very excited to show you all the goodies I get and today, I am unboxing a wholesale order from Onings of America and another from a farm in Ohio, I am super excited to see how these beauties develop this year and fingers crossed, I will have LOTS of dahlia blooms this summer!

The wholesale box looks like how mine always look, since I don't rinse them or divide in fall... or it even looks better than mine. My tubers are unusually kind of shriveled too, like some of the first ones you unboxed, but they still always sprout and make beautiful plants.

I also got some tubers from sunny meadows. Some of them looked good like yours, others I was also questioning. I got a grab bag with different unnamed tubers, so they came literally in a paper bag all together. I need to get mine potted up and try to take some cuttings. I did not have good luck last time I tried potting them up. Do I need to use potting mix with no fertilizer in it? Right now I have fertilome ultimate potting mix which I start seeds in and put in my pots. I really don't think there is any fertilizer in it. Good luck with all your tubers! Smart! I should be propagating my dahlias. I'm wondering if I should move my dahlias to the high tunnel. The plants rot in our thunderstorms.
