I’ve just purchased this pouch, very smart indeed, really impressed of what I can fit in it and the fact it comes with the strap is an added bonus, in the UK this cost me £45 which is super cheap imo!
I’ve got most of the TB pouch range and this one is my go to atm,

weight, retrieval, height, durability, so many factors in picking the right system to bring with. I've got the tote and it has a pretty heavy starting weight empty. This is pretty cool for sure, but I'm not sure I love it either. I do like the way everything is presented from one side though.

I just picked this pouch up, I love it. The small pocket you said you were going to put your gloves, I actually put my stubby screwdriver. It fits perfect and doesn't hang down low. Just an idea man

Have you try attaching it to belt? That's ganna be too heavy for belt.
