Did you know that in TURNING RED and BAO

Did you know that Jin from TURNING RED and the Chinese mom from BAO are actually related to each other? Not only they both are great cooks when it comes to chinese food but both of them experience the same unpleasant thing. Jin and Bao’s mom end up eating alone after having to cook so many dishes which they thought it’ll be a family lunch. Also, when Bao’s mom break down and cry after swallowing her own son, this scene can also resemble Jin’s sadness in TURNING RED. It turns out that Ming’s family rejected her decision of choosing Jin to be her husband and he had to witness the ugly fight between mother and daughter.
