how do you specify what side of the face to snap to? my object always inverts itself and clips into the other one.

I need your help!, I have a fridge holder and an object fridge, when ever i try to snap the fridge holder into the fridge face it just doesn't sit correctly, like where should i put the origin of the fridge holder?, when i put the origin up the holder it just snap correctly up but not down (i have some space down), how to fix?.
