Webinar 1: Down the Green Feminist Road - Local stories of sustainability in action

After the launch of the zine Down the Green Feminist Road, WILPF hosted a webinar to highlight how environmental justice and sustainable peace requires a grassroots approach – to ensure sustainability built from the ground up.

During the webinar, WILPF activists whose work was featured in the zine shared the critical, creative and innovative approaches they have put forward to sustain the livelihoods of their communities and raise awareness of environmental degradation. Together they discussed how militarism and patriarchal values are standing in the way of environmental justice, and they presented alternative perspectives to the environmental crisis.

The webinar was the first of a series that WILPF is organising together with the WILPF Environmental Working Group.
