Lalas said Pochettino doesn’t speak English? He sent 10 years in. England and very fluent in English.

Pochettino speaks fluent English and Spanish, making him the perfect for the USMNT hire.

Reason why USMT will never be successful is because the whole organization from top to bottom is filled with people like Lala who are full of them selves.

The quintessential yank "soccer" segment. The bloke literally worked in England doing press conferences less than 2 months ago and he says he doesnt speak English 😂😂😂😂😂

Not been able to take Lalas seriously since he said USA vs Mexico was the biggest international rivalry 😂

USMT are lucky to get him. One area that US are weak is the defensive side. He was considered for england job. US will be very attractive with their style of gegenpress style..

I can't believe that Alexi Llalas just said that Berhalter handled the Giovanni Reyna situation better than most🤦‍♂️

We do have more talented players on the USMNT than we did 20 years ago, but that doesn't mean we have the talent to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Spain, France, Argentina, etc. We still have to play pragmatically and show some grit. We can be more tactically complex, but we don't have "world class" players we have really good players that can play a supporting role on big name teams in Europe. None of our players that play in the top 5 leagues are the "star" of their team. You can still create a great team out of lesser parts, but it requires pragmatic, tactical coaching. It doesn't have to look pretty, just do whatever it takes to get a win.

Berhalter “playing like we dont have talent” SPOT ON. Panama game perfect example.

This is the most exciting appointment we've had as the USMNT. Time will tell if he's successful, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Lalas has never accomplished a damn thing internationally. He had a quirky name and interesting look in the mid-90s and we've been pretending he was important ever since.

One problem with the people in charge of the USMNT, and those who cover it, is that they refuse to acknowledge just how far behind European countries they are in talent.

Listing the most important players while leaving Reyna off the list is blasphemy.

As an Englishman I’m delighted that an American show listed the “notable players” who played for Poch and included Cole Palmer. The kid is doing it again this season with 3 assists at the weekend. He’s gonna be a star.

He loves players that can run so he should fit great with this group plus he runs a 4-2-3-1 and he'll command respect from the players and get the most out of the usmnt
