I just bought an Elephant Ear plant which I I didn’t k ow the soil needed to stay moist. I had been watering it once a week.. now I know to water at least every other day. Thanks for this video. I may look to change out the soil for this mix. I’ve just repotted so going to give it a minute to see how it does first.

Thanks for this i was gifted one last week I have to pot it for indoors. Update Had a hard time finding the fine grade orchid bark is it terrible to use corse blend?

I cant find the kelloggs patio plus. Is there an alternative? Also my elephant ear is indoor so would you still recommend.

I think you’re mistaken. The Miracle Gro in the green bag that you show in your video is peat moss and the Miracle Gro Cactus and Succulent mix that you mention is in an orange bag.

I find the Cactus & Succulent mix to be “barky” already so it wouldn’t be necessary to add orchid bark unless your goal was to add more.

thanks for the video...very helpful. I just ordered my EE bulbs and they'll be here soon. Can i use this mix for the bulbs? BTW, i noticed the tips of your leaves in the video are beding/curling downwards, I have one alocasia that I bought from Home Depot a week back. It was fine till now and I am seeing the same tips today. I have it infront of a south facing window where it gets direct sun. And I use moisture meter to water so that it doesnt get over or under water. Are the curling of tips normal? or that a sign of something?

Wow. No one has patio dirt
Amazon doesn’t carry it.
I went to 4 stores for fine orchid bark- no go.
My elephant ears turning yellow.
I did repot month ago but dirt holds too much water, patio soil- anything in its place? Ty
