Not the best instructional video. Yakima - consider redoing. It took me about 20 minutes to figure it out. Having problems? Try fiddling with the key and the red triangle thing (rotate it).

Does the pin do anything? I can just pull it out even after tightening everything else. The only thing preventing the whole thing from pulling out of the receiver is pressure from the inside?

Mine has a loose component and it won’t fit the hitch receiver due to this. Easy installation … bullsh*t

Whats wrong with the bike sitting at an angle? I don't really want to have to buy a tubetop thing.

I just installed this model for 2 bike rack. What is the purpose of the pin, as I could not snap it in. But I was able to secure and tighten the rack inside or to the hitch and lock it.

I just purchase this and tried to install it in the dark. Will try again in the morning again. I was concern since the safety pin did not really go all the way in. Based on your installation on youtube that is normal? It seems too rather easy to remove the safety pin or yanking the wire to pull it out is even possible. Is this normal?
