Even though the data was virtually identical the end result with Cobra being nearly 10 yards longer on toe strikes was eye opening. I was a little shocked he picked the Ping, hitting one less club into a green is massive for a mid handicap golfer.

Best V. S. Video I’ve seen to date. I love seeing comparisons on heel and toe strikes. Please do a series with all of the 2025 max, standard, and LS models. I bet it would give your channel the bump it deserves as well.

Cobra wins for me (albeit I can’t judge sound and feel from a video). But it looks better, costs a bit less than Ping, and given the heel strikes were 1mm worse to the heel side and 2mm lower, but spin was also 100rpm lower, that’s clearly lower spinning. And when you think how amazed we all were at how low spin the G430 10k is for such a forgiving driver, that makes this Cobra Max K mighty impressive. A great 2025 driver line up from Cobra 👏

Great video!! Forgiveness well tested for sure! I think you guys might have overlooked, though mentionnd, the difference in swingspeed in between the two heads. having hit the 10K Ping, it's a really heavy head, and it had an impact on my swingspeed as well... I think that's actually something to consider.

A quality video that is informative and interesting. Thanks so much! The test shows it's a bit of a toss-up between the two. Glancing at prices in the US the Cobra promises to be about $100.00 cheaper, which could be a factor in favour of Cobra.

Great comparison guys. Had a Ping G425 previously but still cannot get around the look at address. Currently play a Cobra LTDx and enjoy it but hitting too much out the heel. The New Cobra may well be for me. Just need a decent fitting with the correct shaft maybe. Superb video, thank you!

SO just traded my fitted ping 10k for the cobra max k.... the ping was a great driver for me. i switched based only on performance during fitting. The tried the x and the max k. weight front and back with the x. The cobra looks better and feels better and the adjustment options allowed me to tune to better performance. putting the heavy weight up front lowered the spin but the forgiveness really tanked. im a 2 cap carry 250-260 on trackman. max k numbers was 15 launch 2200-2400 for me. the x with the weight back was 2700-3100 ish, weight forward was not consistent 1900-3300, not an option for me. the new hosel is just fantastic.

If performance is close - does DS Adapt wing it in favor of cobra? Playing a ping 10K currently. Lofted down to 9. With lie up to improve strike. DS adapt would allow more control of the face closure at address. Playing at about 150 ball speed with a hook tendency so I like an open face at address. But having DS adapt to tweak is interesting.

Would be interested to see a video using either Cobra or Ping and why you would fit a person into a 10K versus the core model for either brand or vice versa?

Feels like those two in each of those brands are very similar versus the extremes of the low spin or the high handicap anti-slice versions.

I hang onto my clubs for years. I'd go Cobra because of price and the hosel, being able to adjust loft without tweaking the face open or closed. Budget instinct would like to see the Tour Edge 10k compared. I guess the comparison with the Ping is out there somewhere

That was a very informative video. There is also a cost factor. Cobra is not as expensive as Ping. If you ever do this test again, I would like to you to include the tour edge E725 driver

One of the best tests out there! Random question but why when doing tests like this do you use holes with different elements in (rough, cart path, water, etc.) that effect the distance? Do you take those out when looking at the results?

Great comparison video. Like you said, getting similar numbers to Ping is a win for Cobra. Just need to get it into the hands of golfers.

What are your thoughts on the 33 different loft and lie settings on the Cobra? Could that have been used to get Tom closer to a 9 degree whilst you wait for the full fitting set?

It’ll be interesting to see if you can dial in Tom to a more centred strike on the cobra using the new collar.

Great testing! Love the Cobra and think it's a winner. Cobra have really come on. I remember my first set of proper clubs were cobra s2 irons!!! Had them an inch longer than standard as my swing was terrible at the time 😂😂
