1$ Swim bait? H2O Express Swim shad Review

I was walking through Academy Sports the other day and saw these Swim Shad swim baits. Well the colors on them looked great, I knew the perfect spot to really test them and at only $3 for a 3 pack I had no reason not to pick them up. Needless to say I was happily surprised when these little things started to get annihilated.
These Swim Shads come in a few different colors and sizes. I chose these Bluegill colored ones based on a few environmental factors to the pond I was fishing.
1) Clear water, the water at this pond is very clear, at least 3ft visibility so a nature color pattern is always mu go to.
2) Match the hatch, this small pond does not have shiners or other minnows as forage for the bass to eat so I went with the bluegill pattern to match what I knew the bass would be naturally targeting.
3) Size, I chose the smallest size I could get. I have never seen any monsters come out of these ponds so I chose a bait that would best fit the size fish in the pond. As you can see in the video I had a lot of hits that never got the hook, I think this is because the bass were just too small.
4) Temperature, it may have been February when I filled this but we had had a week of highs near and around 70 deg. The prolonged worm front helped put a little more life in these fish, making them willing to chase down there dinner.
