Former British prime minister Boris Johnson shocked Britain by quitting as a lawmaker after being told he will be sanctioned for misleading Parliament. The inquest was into whether Johnson misled MPs when he said Covid-19 rules were followed despite alleged parties behind held in government buildings during lockdowns.
