When I was in highschool a kid I knew said he found out he was part korean and wanted to start making foods to try and meet his roots. One day he brought in ramen for lunch and while I'm not korean I love a lot of the foods and I mentioned off-handedly that some like to put cheese on their noodles, and that I did that with korean bbq noodles with mozzarella cheese (its bomb btw and I've seen it a lot before) and he looked at me with such disgust and made a big deal about how I was white washing. I was like '??? Its a really popular thing..' Thank you for making me feel not crazy!

Initially, there was a store like this near the college i'm studying, i would sometimes go there on a 2 week to 1 month basis. However as time went on, i think i was the only frequent customer and eventually, just last 2 months, they closed down the shop 🥲. Now i wonder where else near my college i can eat ramen like this.

On one level this is a genius, brilliant restaurant... but I am just wondering about the indirect effects that's all.
