My family sold the first “Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie” from my grandparents restaurant, The Toll House, in Whitman, MA. My grandmother and great-grandmother were close friends with Ruth Wakefield, the woman who invented the chocolate chip cookie. Selling the cookies out of the Toll House Restaurant, Toll House Cookies were a huge success!! So much so that my Dad opened the Toll House Bakery. Despite that they had nothing to do with the creation of this iconic food item, Nestle, just decided they wanted to have exclusive rights to the name “toll house cookie” because they started making chocolate chips specifically for the cookies. My grandfather went to court, and he won, but Nestle kept taking him to court again and again and eventually, my grandfather couldn’t afford the legal fees to keep winning. Today, my father still runs The Toll House Bakery in Massachusetts, but he can’t call the cookies “toll house cookies”. So sad that such a greedy company gets credit for something so near and dear to my families history.

Makes total sense why my husband's granny shamed me for breastfeeding! She probably really thought formula is superior. She told me I'd never make it 6 months nursing. I nursed for 2 years with both kids and I'm proud of it!

I downloaded a list of ALL companies Nestlé is involved in and I keep it in my shopping bag so that I can be sure not to buy ANY of their products. I also upgrade it every 3 months

It's totally possible to boycott them. I made a list of all their brands in 2011 (for my purse)and I make sure it's up-to-date every 3 months. There isn't anything on that list that I can't live without, it's ALL garbage. Once their toxic "food" started killing pets with no accountability, I knew their "food" wouldn't be fit for people either.

This makes me infuriated. The level of their greed is downright sickening 🤬

SPREAD THIS NEWS AS FAR AS YOU CAN. MONSTERS like that should not be allowed to get away with it. Identify their brands, boycott them, raise awareness, expose them, hold them accountable!!

My dad worked for a guy that was a self made millionaire. He went from nothing to 500 million before he died. He bought a peach orchard in Georgia and a mountain called winter mountain with an actual spring that he built a bottling plant at and bottled the water. When he found out what nestle was doing he sent a truck load to flint Michigan and printed on the bottles "this is ACTUAL spring water" and kept it on the label for several years. I think its still a thing but his family probably sold it

I had my son in 87 & I remember not only Nurses & Doctors telling me my baby wouldn't take to breastfeeding, my family tried to discourage me too, telling me I would be harming my baby.
I didn't listen my son took to it immediately & I breastfed him for almost a year. Thank the Lord. He is happy & healthy & he now has a son & his Mother breastfeeds. So I am a Grandma.

This Co. Is evil flat out greed. We all face God one day.

I remember watching a documentary by a British journalist Stacy she went to Africa and found that nestle were stealing there only water source, one man in Africa said his nephew had followed the pipe into the factory and never returned. He was waiting at the pipe for months no sign. He also shown that the guard with guns had been shooting animals that had wandered into pipe looking for water, water was being stolen and bottled and sold to the uk and other countries. It was heart breaking seeing the village.

Same thing happened in India also. Maggi noodles, one of the nestle product, is quite popular in India. in 2015 when a Gorakhpur state laboratory and the Central Food Laboratory in Kolkata found monosodium glutamate (MSG) in the Maggi samples. The Kolkata laboratory also found lead — 17.2 parts per million. Their Market share was around 75 percent at that time. Now also they have around 60 percent of market share even after this incident. I personally hate Nestle products but they're almost every where.

I worked with a Pediatrician in the mid 80's who wouldn't allow Nestlé product in her clinic because of the high death toll attributed to the formula.

Nestlé is not the only company that’s doing this. We don’t know what we’re eating when we buy food from the stores. They’re slowly killing everybody with the processed foods. Everyone should try growing the majority of their food.

I boycotted Nestle years ago and continue to do so, though I admit that I have slipped 3 or 4 times over the last 8 years. After seeing this it has renewed my resolve!

The ceo who claimed that clean water was not a human right should be thrown in jail. What a cheek.

It's fascinating how many of the world's most horrible corporations started as good businesses then they got sold to monsters.

Unfortunately it’s not only Nestle doing this most big pharmaceutical companies are doing these dirty tactics

I'm not surprised actually... I've seen some strikes from former Nestle employees in the Philippines and there were even farmer disputes here.

Big companies like these are very guilty of such crimes against humanity
