Can THIS watch be saved?

Hello watch lovers, today we're going all out on an old 1963 Omega Seamaster with a badly damaged dial and a worn case. We're going to have to restore the dial, replace the hands and restore the case to give this watch a new lease on life.

Amazing work. My dad was a Swiss master tool and die maker, but my mom's dad was a watchmaker. As a child I was always amazed at him in his 70s working on this tiny machines. Thank you for bringing back those memories of him. He was an amazing man.

Wonderful transformation. A drawer piece restored to a potential heirloom. The dial had to be refinished, it was shedding debris. Btw, it's not too early to get ready for the 2028 Olympics breakdancing competition, Stian.

Mechanical watches will persevere in the future. It’s the elegance for one, and the regression of society for another. It’s exactly the same as crossing the Atlantic in a ship compared to a plane, and plowing a field with a horse and plow compared to a tractor. No battery needed, just proper maintenance. We marvel at the ocean liner, the horse and plow and the automatic watches. They’ll have their day again.
