Future Tech Lab Launch Event @ Google, Paris

The entire global fashion industry gathered on October 2nd, 2017 at the Google Arts & Culture Lab in Paris to celebrate the launch of Future Tech Lab (previously: Fashion Tech Lab), a movement designed to empower and accelerate the fashion industry towards a more innovative and sustainable future. Miroslava Duma and Stella McCartney hosted an evening cocktail in celebration of the industry-wide launch of Miroslava's disruptive new umbrella platform, FTL, bringing the most innovative technologies to Paris from all over the world, including Silicon Valley and Europe. Motivated by the shared vision to bridge fashion, technology, and the science of sustainability, FTL showcased 7 truly revolutionary technologies, including BIONIC yarn, Bolt Threads spider silk, above-ground Diamond Foundry diamonds, Mint Materials peppermint antimicrobial treatment, Osomtex upcycled yarn, Vitrolabs stem-cell engineered leather, and Worn Again cotton and polyester recycling process. Over 400 guests from the worlds of fashion, investment, technology, and sustainability attended the event bridging fashion and technology.
