You've gotta trust your skis will be there for you, bounding back precisely when and how you need them to, in order to stay balanced & ready for the upcoming gate/turn, or so it seems to me -- plus a lot of conditioning, as well as years of training. Custom fit race boots, I imagine, are an important part of the equation, too. The skier here is clearly an expert, and is focused ahead on the next 2-3 gates, rather than struggling, as I would, just to negotiate the current gate, and negotiating it late...

When it slows down, watch how the skier starts the next turn with his upper body by stopping its travel across the slope and heads it down the hill. That's what creates the new leg angle that rolls the skis over, not thinking about the feet and ankles. Without the upper body position, he would end up on his inside ski and the tails instead of the tips.

im confused on why this comes up as alalom...whats the point? get behind a boat and learn a real slalom

Solid A frame, widen your stance and stop driving your outside knee futher into the slope than your inside knee. You squish your knees together on every turn, and thats just inefficient
