There are 5 Eras on Our International Monetary System:
1. The Era of Bimetallism (before 1870)
2. The Gold Standard Era (1816 - 1914)
3. Between The World Wars (1919 - 1939)
4. Bretton Woods System (1945 - 1973)
5. Exchange Rate Regimes (1973 - present)
And there are three major regime types:
• Fixed Exchange Rate Regimes
• Flexible Exchange Rate Regimes
• Managed Exchange Rate Regimes
