One of the fantastic elements of Holy Land travel is seeing the entire spectrum of Old Testament events simultaneously. Many sites have witnessed everything from Abraham through Christ to the present.

So, for most believers, this is bewildering. Through a few very easy memory devices we can grasp the flow and key events of the Old Testament events and how the 39 Books fit into that flow of history and tie together with the Land itself. This is like a Jet Tour of the Old Testament in a time machine. This class will change how you look at your Bible.

As a student of God's Word for over 40 years, a simple question fills my heart and mind as I read the Bible: “What does this passage mean?”

Bible teachers are called to explain the Bible, help people understand its meaning, and show how it fits together into one powerful message from God.

The only way to apply God's Word correctly is to understand first what God has said and meant and then what response He desires from us. That is why we have started a monthly study of the elements of Biblical Interpretation.

Someone long ago told me that my job as a Bible Expositor was to build a bridge that transported people from where they live in the present to what God said and did in the historical context of His Word and then to bring them back into their daily lives, understanding what God expected from them.

To build that bridge, we must realize that there is a gap between us and them.

The important message the Holy Bible is conveying is that the science that holds the universe together is so huge and so profound that we need to read the manufacturers handbook to get even a little knowledge about it. It seems that it is all based upon a spiritual mechanics called Righteousness...and if we follow all the clues, in particular, those issued by Jesus Christ, we will benefit from that science in a wonderful way...especially when Wormwood returns...and the Biblical clues are saying, it's not so very far away.

How to understand the bible? Pray Holy Spirit lead you to another scripture that gives the answer, eg.

Matthew 7:21 KJV
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Psalm 40:8 KJV
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Hebrews 10:15-16 KJV
Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Pastors who preach against the 10 Commandments, preach against the New Covenant shed by Christ blood Matt 26:28 where by faith in Christ, He writes His law on heart of the believer!
