I bought the Liberation Street Flipper, Redencion Street Gen 4 and the T.A.K. last month. The deployment on the Redencion improves. I love all three of these models. Your review and comments are spot on. Thanks

Got a good deal on the one I just bought, but you're not joking about the thumb stud issue. Almost a deal breaker for me.

Love this knife! a bit small butt.. hey why not! it can take anything, does anybody know which size skiff bearing I need to buy to replace the Reate bearings? thanks!

I love the looks of his knives. I think the 229 would be my choice. Great review 👍

Love mine. I feel like the action has gotten easier, but i kind of like it tight. Makes the clack that much better. I will definitely get a bigger one if he releases one!

Thanks for clearing up street vs 229 I was confused every website does have it wrong

Same situation got mine yesterday and my thumb is beaten badly from trying to open it and the jimping is extremely agressive which it could become an issue as well. These design flaws should remind us that not everything is asthetics, functionality is critical when shopping for knives.

You should have given it a week..after a week the ease of action on a chaves is about 10x easier to deploy..my first chaves I was so close to sending back…I just pushed through it and now it’s my favorite action..that thud they make on deployment is just amazing

I think there's something odd about your detent. My drop point version arrived today and deployment is easy in a variety of positions. Even deliberately putting pressure on the lock bar doesn't affect mine.

New subscriber. I’ve been looking at the full size Redencion 229 or the Something Obscene J-Cape. I like that the build quality in both is excellent being from Reate. Would you recommend one of these over the other? Or maybe a knife with similar quality? Thanks and keep up the awesome reviews.

I made a post in the Chaves group about the deployment and I caught hell lol. Fan boys said I was doing it wrong haha

I know exactly what you're talking about, I'm a little bummed about that, my gen 4 is not fidget friendly.
