We needed another bucket for harvesting honey. So we found a free bucket at a bakery, bought a honey gate at Amazon and went to town. Here's how we did it.

My first impression was that you were crazy to mark the hole on the inside. When you used the flashlight to move the marks to the front...Brilliant!

GREAT video! Thanks for making this. I have several 5 gallons that I need to do this with and this was perfect for instructions

Might be an idea to lay the nut on a piece of paper, trace it, mark the centre - then transfer the paper to the outside of the bucket to mark your centre on the bucket with a pointed tool. Just a thought.

If you move the hole up one inch you can easily tight the nut from the inside. They way you installed it, you can't freely turn the inside nut.

I found that using the hole saw in reverse worked better for me since otherwise it really grabbed into the plastic.

What size drill bit do you use for these honey gates? Can't fine references for that anywhere.

Trying to figure out how the nut turns since you literally slid the nut flat side to the bottom.
